I will be exhibiting "Captain Dexter" in this juried show. This is the first show I have entered since having the latest round of cancer treatments, and I am pleased that the work was accepted. If you have not seen this piece in person, now would be a great time to view it and some nice work by other artists at the Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs (Formerly Art League of Bonita Springs)!

Go to the link above for more information. The Weedon Island Center is open Wed thru Sun 10-4. They have an excellent exhibit of the Weedon Indigenous Culture, the area' s fauna and flora, and the environmental issues concerning Weedon Island. There are nature trails, canoeing and picnic areas. It is a very interesting place to visit and it a top notch organization.

My work is on exhibit in the auditorium and the facilities are excellent. I will be at the show on Sunday September 6th at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. I am showing several new pieces, in additon to some that appear on m y website. Items are available for purchase, and prints of many of the pieces are available by mail. I am very excited to have been selected for this prestigious show, and look forward to seeing you there!

This is the ALBS Annual Member Juried Show. I have one new piece in this show- a small pastel. There will be entertainment and refreshments, and also art demonstrations at the reception. I will attend from 6- 6:30 pm. The turn out this year was very large, and so the quality of the art should be very good. Hope to see you there!

The Naples Art Association Members Juried Shows are open to members of NAA. We are allowed to submit up to two works for jurying. There are four awards given as I have explained before. Instead of typical Best of Show, and place awards, this show offers a single Award of Excellence in four categories: Technical Achievement, Meditative Power, Innovation-Experimentation, and Bold Spontaniety-Movement-Expressive Power.  There is also a "people's Choice" Award.

I have submitted "After the Rain" which is a small oil  piece that is at the end of it's show career, as it is nearing the two year old "expiration date". I have also entered "East Trail Tranquility"- a pastel landscape.

I will attend the opening receptionf from 5:30-6:15 pm. Hope to see you there!

This is a Naples Art Association member show that accepts one piece from each member, according to exhibit space . It is a new show, and I am looking forward to participating in it. I have submitted "The Blue Bridle" to this show, because as a small work it should make the cut, and it is dramatic enough not to get lost in the crowd. Also if you plan to attend the reception, there is a $10.00 fee for non NAA members. However it would be a great opportunity to meet some terriffic people and you might want to beome a member to support the local arts. They do a lot for local children and are very active.

I will be exhibiting two pieces at the Regional Summer Exhibition hosted by the Art League of Bonita Springs. The first piece is "After the Rain", oil on panel, that can be seen on my website. The second piece is not on the website, and is a pastel on panel entitled, "The Blue Bridle". This piece won an Award of Merit, and was one of seven pieces at the show to win an award.

This show is open to artists in the SW Florida area and it runs the entire month of June and part of July. The show runs until  July 24th, 2008 so you have plenty of time to stop by.

Summer slows down a lot here, and I plan to take advantage of that and paint a great deal. I may show in one or two shows this summer, and if that happens I will post here and send an email to my subscribers, but for now I am just planning to be painting in my studio or on location. This one day show features the works of juried artists in a booth style festival  show. It also includes food court and low key musical entertainment when available, and runs from 10 am to 4 pm. I am delighted that my work has been accepted to exhibit at this show and look forward to seeing you there.

This show is one of three NAA juried members' shows that is hosted by the Von Liebig Center during the year. As a new member of NAA, I am excited to have both of my submissions of work accepted to this show, and look forward to the opening.

I am thankful to the NAA and jurors for selecting my work for this show and to receive an award.

This is my first solo show since I began painting again. It will be an opportunity to view some of my new work that will not be uploaded to the website until after the show.  The art show is free, and the wine tasting has a fee of $5.00. However, I will pay the tasting fee for any client who purchases a painting, or contracts for a portrait or commissioned piece at the show. 

The show will be held at Riverchase Plaza at the NE corner of Immokalee Rd and US 41. WineStyles is north of Publix and behind the Watermark Grille. I have several new works to show at this event, so come by and check it out.
